Areas of Focus

Her academic focus centers on Classical Arabic Grammar (Nahw & Sarf) and Balāgha (Bayān & Maʿānī), with a deep engagement in the traditional sciences of the Arabic language. She explores the history of linguistic thought in both Islamic and Western traditions, offering a comparative lens on how language has been understood across cultures. Her work on comparative syntax and semantics bridges classical frameworks with modern linguistic inquiry. She is also involved in Arabic second language acquisition and the development of academic writing skills. Underpinning all these areas is a strong interest in the philosophical approaches to language and scientific progress.
